Some I know (smiling sheepishly), recently traveled with her ********. When the agent opened her carry on and saw it, she winked at her and smiled. :-).
Do NOT take them in your Carry-On luggage!
Trust me!
Do NOT try to “hide” them.
Make sure all the batteries are NOT in them.
Have the BATTERIES with them, preferably in the battery packages.
Pack them in a large CLEAR gallon freeze type zip-lock baggie.
That way no one will TOUCH them or conveniently LOSE one.
And make sure you have a “toy-cleaner” and clean them BEFORE usage just incase someone, inadvertently of course, puts something ON them.
Oh, and then…….if you are ASKED about them, immediately point to your FRIEND!
(I have a cousin in Ireland that will NEVER forgive me…well, it WAS hers!)
Should be no problem if you put it in your checked baggage (except if you’re coming from/to Alabama or Utah, the only states where *** toys are illegal).
Take the Batteries out and store separate. Put them in your “checked” luggage. If the security people open your bag when they run them through the machine, at least there won’t be a dozen people standing right beside you, looking to see what you’ve got in your bag.
The only way to do that is to put them into checked luggage. Don’t take them through security unless you want to create an embarrassing situation. I know…
Take out the batteries!!! I didn’t have problems, but it was hugely embarrassing when I arrived home at O’Hare to find my suitcase vibrating like mad as it made its way down the luggage ramp.
