If you don’t want to, or can’t put them in the machine, just scrub them really good with a hot soapy wash cloth, make sure you rinse them really good and let them air dry.

i got this really expensive talking christmas pohh at disney world and my daughter decided to feed it her chocolate milk baba’s so i had to put it in the wash, except i did the gentle wash (delicates) and then i set it in the back porch to dry for 2 days…then it looked just like new and smelled better than new!
if that cant be done then a friend of mine told me that you can put barbasol (shaving cream) on the outside of the teddies and wait until it dries off and then with a dry/damp cloth just scrape off the cream and the teddy will be without dust, except that the cream wont get rid of stains!

The Clorox or Lysol or other types of cleaning wipes work great for cleaning kids toys. Most of the brands also offer a product that is safe for cleaning kids toys without a lot of harsh chemicals. I’ve used it many times and they worked great. Just be sure to let them dry well before giving them back to your kids. Often the wipes remove stains as well. Otherwise try spot cleaning with some laundry detergent or even dish liquid on a sponge or towel.

I would scrub off any invisible stains with a warm soapy rag, then disinfect it with Lysol, and maybe some frebeze, then let it air dry.

Wipe them off with damp soapy dish rag or papertowel and then rewipe with wet towl. You can also use a mixture of half vinegar half water to disinfect. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant. They do smell vinegarry for a few hours, but it goes away and then you don’t have to throw away your baby’s favorite toys. To be honest, as long as your child doesn’t have a defficient immune system, some exposure to germs isn’t the end of the world. It will help build his/her immune system. If you know a child is or was sick and really got a good slobber on it, you might want to see if the toy will make it through a good bath. If it doesn’t oh well, you tried. Some of the toys say not to submerge but I have submerged them anyway and surprisingly they came out fine.

ive put all my babies toys in the washing machine several times (except those requiring batteries), and have never had a problem with the crinklies or noise makers going out in them. there made to be washed for sanatary reasons.

I used to work in an infant room in a daycare center and DHS regulations had us spray the toys with diluted bleach…take a clean spray bottle and fill it full of water then add one table spoon of bleach to it. Spray the toys over the sink and let air dry. If there are stains on them you are trying to remove, you can simply take a little bit of laundry detergent and rub it on the stain and then rinse it.
