get her one of those thick rubber toy tires. tie a thick rope to it. now you have something for her to chew on AND tug with. =)

I would say that your dog likes to chew, so the best thing to get for her would be a thick rope of some sort that she can chew on. Buying her stuffed toys and ones with squeakers isnt that good because she will just tear them apart. You could go to your local pet store like Petsmart (depending on where you live) and see what they have there.

We always get stuffed animals for ours. These are great because you can pick them up cheap, especially right after holidays. Our small female greyhound likes the large animals - she totes them around and nests with them. These are also good because they can be a bit thicker than dog toys and therefore don’t break as much. I recommend removing any buttons(eyes or noses) from the toys before giving them to her.

a kong because you can put treats in them and they get soo occupied with getting the treat out.

I have a miniature greyhound, and since I’ve gotten him every single stuffed animal that used to be mine, is now his.. greyhounds love stuffed animals!! And if they ’squeak’ its even better. Altho my dog doesn’t destroy them..just plays w/ them. My other dog (that died 2 days ago
) never really cared for them at all.

First, never, ever give a dog a toy until you’ve cut the squeaker out!! It’s way too easy for them to choke on it.
My greyhounds, as well as all my fosters, have all loved any stuffed toys. They’ve had some of them for 6 years, they don’t destroy them - just like to throw them around, shake them, and so on. You can probably find used stuffies somewhere - but if they were made for kids you’ll need to cut off things like eyes and noses and sew up the holes before giving them to the greyhounds.
Your dog is so new to your house she hasn’t had a chance to even begin to settle in yet - she’ll calm down when she feels more at home.
