There are puppy nylabones for chewing. Anything that is soft and will stand up to be chewed on by sharp puppy teeth is great. When I first got my puppy I got her an Eyore toy. It was just a little kid’s stuffed toy but she loved it.

Kongs are the ultimate! I have a labrador that could destroy ANYTHING and she’s had that for months…. Wonderful creation! Also… rope toys, those work good for tug of war and just throwing… Floaty toys if the dog will be a swimmer. Squeaky toys can be fun but get very annoying… And tennis balls of course. it works better if you have a bat, too. I hit the ball for my dogs and have them bring it back. They love it! Hope this helps :)

The two toys I normally suggest for every puppy parent are the kong (you already know about that one) and a nylabone. The puppy nylabones are a rubbery nylon material that the puppy can chew one. If you can get your dog hooked on those, you save a ton of money over buying rawhide. Another good toy is the chilly bone. You soak it in water and then freeze it. The puppy then chews on it and it helps numb the gums a little when teething.

Toys to avoid are toys that mimic things that you use everyday. Some people might suggest just using socks tied in knots, old washcloths or other “old” items you use. The problem with these is your puppy does not know the difference between old and new and will start chewing your new socks and washcloths .

I would suggest walking down your toy aisle and just looking at a little bit of everything. Most dogs like to have something to fetch, something to chew, something to run around with and something to cuddle. Also check out the disco toy sections after major holidays and seasons. A lot of times you can get really cute toys at half price.

any rubbery ( hard but flexible) toys for teething I’d stay away from stuffed toys ESPECIALLY if you have kids with stuff animals them self’s cause you don’t want the little pup to get confused and have the kids upset
    other Toys

Tennis balls are great cheap and easily replaceable
    freebies all dog love them

stay away from rawhide unless you keep an eye on they some dogs tend to choke on them when they get smaller
