I use the extreme kong for my bulldog, they are aggressive chewers as well.

Nylabone Galileo Bone - 5 1/2″

My dog is a Rottie / Shep mix as well, and I have bought many toys and bones for her to chew. NONE stand up the way this one does!

The bone doesn’t ever break, and the pieces that do “splinter” off of the toy-bone are “rice sized” so in case the dog swallows the splinter fragments, it will pass easily and won’t harm the dog.

You can get it at PetSmart, PetCo or most any other pet store that sells “Nylabones”.

Another toy you may consider is “Planet Dog” Planet Dog Orbee Ball.

I like the kongs.I have a 5 year old australian sheperd,who seems to be able to chew through everything-from sawing wooden chairs in half with his sharp teeth to my Leather Nikes-and he is satisfied with that.Just get one of the large,black ones,and put peanut butter in it.

Rawhide bones. Some like the Kong toys but not one of my dogs ever touched them.

You’re going to have a lot of suggestions for Kongs. My brother has a pitt and she DEMOLISHED the Kong. It did however last longer than any other toy she wrapped her jaws around.

Anything else - nylabones, raw hide, the steak bones, etc didn’t stand a chance.

You’re going to have set aside a savings account to keep up w/ all his toys.

The real bones, the ones that are sterilized (white) are really long lasting for indoors, for outdoors, the “mammoth” basted bones (real), they are about ten dollars, but worth it, much longer lasting. My dog like to chew up logs when she is outside too.

I have a pit-lab mix and I was having the same problem…I found a little rubber tire in the pet section at target (it had a rope on it but we took that off cause he eats those too). Its been almost a month now!! thats about 3 weeks longer than any other has lasted. also, i am getting the black colored “kong” next, they are for extreme chewers

Kong toys the right size are almost indestructable and they keep the dog busy cause of the shape it bounces erradically. Also you can put in treats and peanut butter to keep them busy and they are easy to wash and clean. Also large, uncooked , unsmoked animal bones are a good way to keep them busy but they are messy for carpets and should be chewed on in the kitchen or the dog will drool immensely while chewing. And the junk can get on the carpets. I would not use Nylabone, cornstarch bones, or greenies with fast aggressive chewers. The dog will bite off too big of chunks and they can impact him or cause extreme bloat in the gut. Rawhide will not stand up to a chew like yours and can cause too many stomach and intestinal problems if the dog eats too big of a chunk. It also has been known to slip down the throat and choke dogs that dont take time to chew. Smoked or sterilzed bones are also not good cause they are COOKED. cooking changes the properties of the bones can can splinter inside the mouth, stomache, and intestines. Smoked meat bones actually are not good cause they use liquid smoke for taste and smell which can cause some severe allergic reations in dogs that are sensitive.

I have a bulldog- also a strong chewer. I use kong toys stuffed with treats or peanut butter. Those keep him busy for awhile. Also, those mammoth bones that you can get at the pet store last a really long time.

We have 3 Labs and a Great Dane. We hung an old tire in their kennel 6 months ago, it’s still in one piece and they never get bored with it. But for chew toys, we have Kongs for them. They are pretty much indestructible, and you can get them at any pet store. Don’t waste your money ($7.98) on the liver pate’ made especially for this toy. Go to the grocery store and get the ****** cheese you would put on crackers. We put that, and assorted dog treats in their Kongs. Now, as soon as they see me getting them ready, they run to the kennel and jump up and down.

I have a Carin terrier puppy and he chews through everything too. The best I have found is either a petstage orka chews or his favorite are the Nylabones (get the extra durable one (white)- my puppy chews through the regular ones).

My Italian greyhound is the same way. So far he has destroyed all the toys I have ever gotten him, including his kong. I buy compressed rawhide bones for him to chew, chew, chew. After he is done, I give him another one. Some dogs just like to destroy things.

you can use a toy called the “kong” brand, or “nylabone” you can find them at petsmart stores, or any other petstore. i have a siberian husky, (she can chew thru rawhide within minutes) and she hasnt destroyed either one of the above toys.

My dog has destroyed most of his toys but the ones that have lasted are: his black Kong, any Nylabone, his “Busy Buddy” and pretty much any extreme chew toy from. Planet Dog’s website has a selection of good chew toys and they are rated with a “Chew-o-Meter Rating”. You should definitely check out their toys. My dog loves their Orbee-Tuff balls.

The only toy my two dogs were not able to destroy is the hard Nyla bones. I have a Pit Bull and a very large Lab who destroy everything except for those. We have had our hard Nyla bones for about 3 years with minor teeth marks.
