At that age, I don’t know about toys, but I hear listening to classical music helps.

You will have many people tell you baby Einstein, but they were proven to not be any better than the others. I think the most important thing to do when finding childrens toys for any age is to find a company that does not sell toys from China and find toys that are natural and non toxic. Plastic and painted toys are always a toss up. You never know if they are leaching chemicals that are dangerous to your child.

Maybe get her some bright colored blocks preferably with different textures and shapes. Water filled play mats with toys in the water are always a big hit. Some rattle keys. In Australia you can get a rattle called a skwish rattle, every time baby picks it up there is movement in the rattle (older kids have lots of fun with this one to). Activity toys that have rattles, crinkly bits, mirrors, squeakers, rings and teethers are also good. Discovery cubes with different textures and activities.

Anything that sings, talks, count, lights up, soft teddy bears so they can learn how to be affectionate to and yes baby leap is the best they have more choices.

Something like the Animal Shape Sorter by Earlyears would be something great as a learning toy for your 6-month-old. It has different animal shapes and each has a unique sound. It is also very bright and colorful, so it’s great for babies of that age.
Also the IQ Baby Knock-Knock Blocks Soft Blocks, which is a set of 16 soft building blocks. They care colorful, make different sounds, and have interesting windows and doors in the blocks themselves. I think this toy would also be super for your baby.
There is also the Soft Blocks Educational Baby Toy by Galt which won the Right Start Best Toy award.
I like these types of toys for the real little ones rather than the electronic toys.

There are so many possibilities to chose from. Most young kids just love getting fits, regardless of what they are.
You can find a ton of quality online toy stores here:
Personally, I think you can’t go wrong with getting them some sort of brainteaser puzzle game. There are many types, for instance the kind where you have to free a specific piece from the puzzle. These keep the kids busy forever, they wont stop until they free the piece!
