get her 2 things then
1-a colouring book
2-uuuuuuuummmmm, lets see something she would not get tired of…… how about a flying helicpoter or plane model.
i’m quite sure she’ll love to see it fly everytime u press a button.
magna doodle, puzzles, coloring books and crayons, maybe she would enjoy a baby doll, shape sorters. There are many educational toys that do not require reading/spelling.
How about something like building blocks or Legos. You may even try an Etch a Sketch. I give you much credit for being creative to help out a very special person. God bless you and your family.
I have a 4 yr old, 6 yr old and 9 yr old. They all love to play with the doodle bears, there are also doodle dogs, monsters and dolls. They color on them with washable markers and you can throw them in the washer, then start all over.
I would suggest books with nice colors and interesting pictures! This way she cant break it and it wont hurt her…My Aunt is handicapped as well and she loves staring at books, she mentioned it helps her think of a different place other then where she is stuck!
My 32 y/o sister is mentally handicapped also, with the mind of a 6 year old. She also loves coloring books and jiggsaw puzzles, and she is very good at them. She really doesn’t mind doing them over and over again, I think they like repetition. Replace some of her old puzzles with new ones. My sister also loves Barbie dolls and changing their clothes.

A magna-doodle (they have one that glows), a light-brite cube, an easel and some finger paint, a set of artists pencils and a sketch book
