Why are kids toys made with bright colors when they prefer other things in the home?

the lady in red. asked:

There is a green/blue, yellow toy phone for my nephew but he always prefers to play with the home or cell phone. He literally throws his away and heads for the real one. Why aren’t kids toys made to look more like the real thing?

I have no clue, but it would be better. My cousin always grabs for real keys and not fake keys.

i think its cos kids recognise bright colours easier and the bright colours seem to stimulate them more either that or should the childs toy get lost well surely the parent would be able to see the toy more if its in lovely bright colours
