My little ones are getting sick of the rattles and plastic toys on the play gym. Any toys that you absolutely love/loved?

The best stimulation for a 2 month old is 1.) his parents or 2.) being outside for a little while. I bought every toy known to man for my son and he grew tired of them quickly.

    Loved this early on:

There’s another one that was an early favorite, having trouble finding it, I’ll edit if I do.

Edited: Here it is, it’s called a winkle:

This was, hand’s down, my sons first favorite toy.

Edited: lol, at below “i work with mental 3-5 yearolds for my summer job.” I feel like, 9AM, Day One at a job like that, you learn to not call them “mental”

at two months my son wasn’t interested in toys at all- he is 14 weeks now and is only just becoming interested in his play gym.
He does love anything that lights up, plays music or has an interesting texture though if that helps!

I have the same issue with my son. He is just turning 4 months old and he has a giant box of toys that he never ususes. I keep getting more trying to find one he likes but they never hold his interest for long.

The funniest thing is his FAVORITE toy is simply a cloth diaper LOL! He will **** on it, twirl it and flap it around, rub it around on his face, hug it, talk to it, smile at it, put it on his head etc… I got him a blakie toy with a little animal head on it and some teethers and he liked his cloth diaper better lol!

I got him a rainforest jumparoo, he hates it.

One thing I found he likes is toys that sing and light up and he also likes these round link chain things. The are plastic rings you link together to make a chain and he really loves those and will ignore his rattles and other toys for the links.

There is also a brang of toy I like called Habba. He mostly has Habba toys and they have the best soft book I have ever seen. That can entertain him for a while too.

But really in the end my son really would rather have me there right with him entertaining him and playing with him or reading to him. That will keep him happy for hours!

i work with mental 3-5 yearolds for my summer job and we love playing with chalk, pompoms, railroad sets, puzzles and playdough,… oh and bubbles. of course for your age group i would suggest stuffed animals and plastic rings, when i was young my mother bought me some rubber animals that she would freeze and i loved them

    i hope this helped!!!

i have a 3 month old boy and he still prefers me talking and singing to him than any colorful/flashing toy. he will look at such for a few seconds and then he’d turn to me - or better yet to his 7 year old brother. he just LOVES watching him!

but - if any toys - it would be those in contrasting colors, lights and sounds :)
    hope it helps!
