What chew toys and how many for Golden Retriever?

We are going this weekend to do some shopping for our Golden puppy that’ll be coming home in a couple of weeks(not old enough yet) and were wondering what type of toys and how many people recommend? We want to be totally ready for him when he arrives. Thanks

i reccommend a puppy KONG , they really are great! you stuff them and your pup has to find a way of getting the food out (its mentally stimulating), and its really good for teething puppies..
oh and your puppy can NEVER have enough chew toys

Well my 15 week old Golden pup loves the Orca toy I got him at target. It’s clear blue with a rope going thru it. He loves to chew on the rope and the toy. It’s soft enough to ease teething pups too.
Also this place:
Any of their puppy to adult dog toy are really great and they last for a very long time. My older Golden’s have their footballs and the orbi balls and other things and in 2 years they still love them and their not destroyed either.
I would get at least 4 toys to start with, especially the Orca one! Then look at the planet dog toys for your pup too.
My Goldens hated all Kong toys but some like them.

Be aware some ingestible chewys are not good for pups. I reccomend stay away from rubber chewys. The natural rope style is also nice but when it is getting schreded replace it with a new one. There are some flavored nylabones that last a long time and my pups seem to like them.

I love the Kong toys. My Lab has yet to destroy one. We get the filler too. It drives him nuts and keeps him busy all day long.
If your dog is a puppy then I suggest having a toy in each room to avoid chewing on furniture etc.

For a young pup I’ve had great results with the puppy Kong. Also pick up the freezable toys for teething pups. They aid in soothing sore gums. Youngs pups don’t need anything too hard because their puppy teeth are fragile.

well one thing is for sure don’t buy toys he/she won’t beable to use, read the lable on the toy carefully if it is for a puppy or an older dog. buy toys for a puppy, not a big dog. also don’t buy to many toys, we bought about 20 toys for my dog he only played with 2 of them. pick out about 5 toys you think will really make them happy! pick toys that will last for a long time!! not toys that were cheaply made. get a small cage and bed for it! good luck w/ your pup!!!!!
